Chill, Laughing, Jesus.

From the Himalayas, to the Gangetic Plains and the desert, our trip was full of intensity and laughter. We spent 6 days trekking in the Himalayas where our triplet was dubbed chill, laughing, Jesus by our fellow trekkers. We encountered goats, sheep, horses, puppies, lightning, crazy rainstorms, and beautiful sunshine ending with a 14,500 foot high peak (small for the Himalayas, but big for us). Then it was off to Varanasi where we toured the back alleys and temples of the old city, including a temple in the basement of someone’s house containing Shiva Lingams (idols) rumored to be 2000-3000 years old. Next we headed to the deserts of Jaipur where we encountered forts, palaces, and giant Bazars. From Jaipur we traveled to see the famous Taj Mahal, which was just as beautiful as its reputation. The weather ranged from a dry, deathly heat of 106, to a rainy, freezing 40, and finally to a sticky 95 with a sweltering 90% humidity. Throughout it all there was lassi, milkshakes, and an endless stream of curries, naan, and butter chicken. Here are some photos of our adventures together.
